Hey, I'm Melissa

A little bit about me

I am an adventure, landscape and portrait photographer based in Colorado. The ability to connect with nature in a therapeutic way while also seeking out beautiful spots to photograph got me hooked and now I spend as much time as possible in the wilderness. Being an extrovert and loving the human connection made me miss shooting portraits which led me to my true love of combining the two: portraits in beautiful landscapes.

Where it all started

I started by shooting weddings and portraits and fell in love with landscape photography when I did a solo road trip across the US in 2015. It started a love affair with exploring new places around the world, honing my skill of finding the most scenic spots while connecting with nature. I focused solely on that for a bit but found that as much as I loved being alone in the wilderness I also missed the connection of people. This brought me full circle into what I truly love, which is combining the two to make unique portraits in beautiful places.

What I like about photographs is that they capture a moment that’s gone forever, impossible to reproduce.
